How We are able to Communicate with Animals

All you need is love!..

Absolute, unconditional LOVE, without fear, without guilt, without need,
is the key to understanding your animal friends.

Animals think in Pictures!...So do we...
All animals are incredibly sensitive to and, unlike us humans, aware of the energies surrounding them. Every thought is an energy, every feeling is an energy. Every energy out there is available for everyone to pick up on. We just have to become sensitive to it.

Before we say something a thought is formed in our minds. That thought is an image which we automatically put words to. Most of us don't even realise that the thought is actually a mental picture. Along with the picture, we have a feeling about what we are thinking or "projecting".

Animals have not been conditioned to think like we have. They do not work on human logic. They work on intuition and feelings. They instantly pick up the pictures we have in our minds. Along with the pictures, they pick up the intention and feeling behind the thought.

In order for us to communicate successfully with our animal friends, we need to be aware of the mental images in our minds. We can confuse our animals terribly- when we are afraid our dog is going to snap at someone, we have that mental image of them snapping, the dog will "see" that image and act on it, doing the one thing we really don't want. We also need to be aware of the feeling behind the picture. If we are feeling fearful, a quite natural reaction of self preservation- the animal will pick up the fear first and will probably react badly. Fear seems to be the one thing that prevents us from communicating effectively with another animal. The opposite of "LOVE" is FEAR, not hate, therefore if you replace the energy of fear with the energy of love, the fear disappears and you are free to move forward.

If your dog has runoff, and wont come when you call him. Hold a picture of him in your mind of him running back towards you. He will understand what you want. Always send a positive message. If you have an image of him running off into the road- he will pick up on it. Animals respond to our thoughts, not our words- remember to let your thoughts tie in with your words.

If we want our cat to drop the mouse he has caught, we must visualise him doing this. Hold a picture, in your mind, of the mouse on the floor. Mentally send that picture into his mind The cat will understand what you want. This does not mean he will do it (cats can be bloody-minded) You may have to lure him with an image of his favourite food or treat.

So.. How do we start understanding them?

Often, without even knowing it, we pick up the images that animals send us. Before we became intellectual beings with our own spoken language, I believe that this is the way we communicated with eachother and other species.

How often do you know that you must not go near that dog- as it is aggressive, or that your cat wants to go out?

Take these feelings one step further. Recognise your intuition and trust it! This is probably the most important thing when learning to understand animals. Cast off all your negative beliefs about "dumb" animals. Forget everything you've been told about animals being poor, helpless beings who can't communicate their needs. They can and they do- we are the "dumb" beings who don't understand them.

Once you have started focussing on the messages you are sending the animals, and they are responding to them- you are on the right track. You need to tune in to your animal, sending them loving thoughts,(LOVE is the key) and explaining to them that you want to be able to "listen" to them. Meditation and focussing on your higher self will help you tremendously.

You might start getting strange pictures in your mind, that you can make no sense of. Don't shrug them off. Some people may hear a voice answering them in their head, others may get an intense feeling. If for example you want to know why your cat is nasty to one of the others, you may get a feeling of jealousy, or one of being threatened.

The best way of confirming feelings and mental pictures is to work with a friend's animal. Ask them questions that you don't know, but your friend does. Start with something simple like "Where do you like to sleep?" You may get an image of a red chair, or you may feel the heat of a fireplace. You will be amazed at how often you are right!

Another thing to remember is not to let your human logic interfere with your intuition. The first image that comes is normally the correct one. It may not make sense to you and sound silly, or impossible, but go with it..you'll be surprised.
